Community Engagement
The Lane Cove Theatre Company has a proud history of supporting the local community. Over the last 22 years we have strived to give back to the community that continues to give so much;
- Fundraising opportunities for local community groups and charities through program sales
- Donations from dedicated performance revenue to assist local community groups and charities
- Supporting FOCUS (Friends of Community Aid Service) by providing goods and assisting at their market day stalls
- Engaging students undertaking their Duke of Edinburgh
- Supporting Work-experience students by engaging them in first-hand industry experience and technical training
- Hosting social outings and opportunities for local community groups such as Rotary, Probus, Longueville and Greenwich Hospitals
- Collaboration with local community groups to support local community initiatives
- Sponsoring and initiating the Ian Evans Award for Performance at Lane Cove Public School
- Supporting local emerging artists through our Open Mic nights and New Directions initiatives
- Recognising our dedicated members and volunteers through the annual Lane Cove Council Citizenship Awards
- Supporting local businesses and independent service providers through sponsorship and social media initiatives
- Providing complimentary tickets to local schools and businesses to assist in fundraising efforts
